I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog! Have a look around as I share all about my recent work, fun travels and adventures, and a peek into my personal life as a wife and mama.
Oh, how I have been eagerly awaiting sharing these portraits!
Last weekend, we traveled to Virginia for a family wedding and we were able to sneak a little couples session in with Sarah and Sam. Deltaville is a super special place to our family– our Granddaddy built our family’s home here in the 1960’s and my Mom lived here with her family every summer growing up. When we were kids, we would come down to Deltaville as often as we could and we have the fondest memories of sailing camp, crabbing/fishing, building sand castles, and putting on “plays” with our cousins to perform for our grandparents. Now that we’re all adults, Deltaville has become a place where we get to slow down, kick back, and appreciate the little things in life with the ones we love most.
Sarah and Sam met last summer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where they are both studying to get their PhD’s. It was an instant connection, and although their personalities seem to completely differ, they compliment each other perfectly. (Plus, Sam puts up with our crazy family with grace and patience, so I say he’s a keeper!) I hope you enjoy some of my favorite portraits from their nautical-inspired session.
