I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend New Year’s Eve than capturing Rachel and Nauroze’s engagement portraits in Athens, Georgia! Rachel and Nauroze met during their first semester of veterinary and medical school and after first becoming friends, their relationship bloomed. Nauroze proposed in spring of 2019 during a romantic sunset hot air balloon ride! (How epic is that?!) Now, they’re planning their May 2021 wedding and cannot wait to officially tie the knot!
Rachel is a lifelong Georgia Bulldog– her parents have been professors at the University of Georgia since before she was born and she also attended college there. So capturing her engagement portraits with Nauroze on UGA’s beautiful North Campus was extra special! I cannot wait to be back in Athens with them to capture their wedding day in May at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. If their wedding day is anything like their engagement session, I know it will be filled with a lot of laughter and fun!
Because Rachel and Nauroze currently live out of state, I was so happy when we were finally able to find a date for them to travel to Georgia for their engagement portraits! Their trip to town was short, and the weather was not on our side (it was calling for heavy rain during their entire visit!) but we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. And oh boy did we get lucky! The rain held off until the last 10 minutes and we ended up getting some fun rain/umbrella shots to finish up… it was perfect! Enjoy some of my favorites from their winter engagement session at the University of Georgia.
