I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog! Have a look around as I share all about my recent work, fun travels and adventures, and a peek into my personal life as a wife and mama.
With wedding season right around the corner, and more and more friends getting engaged, I’ve decided to start a new series on the blog- Wedding Wednesdays. As a recent bride myself, (Patrick and I celebrated 10 months of marriage yesterday!) I have gotten so many questions about wedding planning, etiquette, honeymooning, and marriage that I would love to share with any brides-to-be!
A couple of weeks ago, I was chatting with one of my sweet friends about wedding registries—how, where, and what to register for. So today, I’m rounding up the Top 10 registry gifts that every bride should register for.
Most 20-somethings have an array of miss-matched wine glasses they collected throughout college. Your registry is an opportunity to donate your old wine glasses, and upgrade to quality sets. We registered for 8 red and 8 white glasses and use them almost daily to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner. Pro tip: To ensure durability, look into the shatter proof wine glasses from Crate & Barrel.
I never appreciated a nice knife set until we started using the one we were gifted from our registry. Quality knives are a game-changer in the kitchen and a wonderful registry addition.
You probably weren’t surprised to see this on the list. The KitchenAid Stand Mixer is pretty much the classic wedding registry item but oh has it made me enjoy baking 100x more. If you decide to register for this gem, make sure to look into the attachments as well! Patrick and I love the meat grinder and spiralizer attachments when we feel like getting extra creative in the kitchen.
Although these are not items you’ll use on a daily basis, it is so nice to have nice platters and serving trays on hand for hosting friends and family in your home.
There’s nothing better than big, plushy towels and bed sheets and comforters that make you feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud.
When we got married we were living in Florida, so this registry item made a lot of sense for us. However, even living in land-locked Atlanta now, beach chairs are perfect for summer concerts and BBQs too!
If you’re a wine lover like we are, a dual-temperature wine refrigerator is the perfect addition to your home. This was one of our favorite registry gifts, and it has allowed us to store up to 18 bottles of perfectly chilled wine for any occasion.
Quality Calphalon lasts forever. In fact, my parents still use the Calphalon pots and pans from their wedding over 27 years ago! This was a must-have registry item for us as we were eager to replace our Wal-Mart pots and pans from college.
The perfect gift for any wine lover or whisky connoisseur. Cheers!
This may seem random to include on a “Top 10” list, but if you eat as much sushi as we do, it’s amazing to have bamboo chop sticks on hand for when you forgot to grab the disposable ones with your to-go sushi order. Nobody likes eating sushi with a fork.
