I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog! Have a look around as I share all about my recent work, fun travels and adventures, and a peek into my personal life as a wife and mama.
My future brother-in-law, Sam, proposed to my big sister, Sarah, last September and I was counting down the days until their wedding day on September 12, 2020! As her matron of honor, I’ve been full speed ahead with helping with all of the wedding planning to-dos! Then… as we all know… March 2020 arrived and with it COVID-19 rocked the whole world. Sarah and Sam debated their options for their September wedding and ultimately made the tough decision to postpone their big day until May 2021. I was heartbroken for them. I’ve worked with so many of my Marybeth Marlow Photography brides to navigate postponements amidst these tough times and I’ve been hurting for all of my couples, but seeing my sister go through it is hitting even closer to home. She and Sam have handled this situation with so much grace and I just know their wedding day in May is going to be the best ever!
So when we were all at the beach and I got to see them in-person for the first time since announcing the postponement, we decided to make the best of the situation and do an engagement session! These are their first portraits as an engaged couple and we had so much fun capturing them!!
Enjoy some of my favorites from their Deltaville engagement session on the beach. Cannot WAIT for their May 2021 wedding at The Governors Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
